Which Mac do I have?
Click the Apple menu → About This Mac. If it says Apple M1/M2/M3/M4, pick Apple Silicon. If it says Intel, pick Intel.
AppImage vs DEB vs RPM?
AppImage works everywhere with no install. DEB is for Ubuntu/Debian, RPM for Fedora/RHEL. Both let you auto-update through your package manager.
Installer or Portable on Windows?
Use the Installer if you have admin rights and want shortcuts and auto-updates. Use Portable on locked-down machines or a USB stick.
