I don’t usually make release posts for minor bug fix releases, but this one is near to my heart as a former Excel-developer (miss you VBA).
One of the goals for Beekeeper Studio is to be ‘intuitive’. That’s nice, but what does “intuitive” actually mean?
For data tables it means that they should behave like Google Sheets and Excel. Spreadsheet apps are so widespread and ingrained into our day to day lives that the memorized keyboard shortcuts and behaviors are just second nature to a lot of people, myself included.
Turns out in the 6.1 release we’d broken a few of these, so we spent some time really focusing on how our data tables work and ironing out the spreadsheet kinks, especially around multi-cell copying and pasting.
If you want the full list you can see this GitHub issue, or just watch the video below for a quick walkthrough.
